“LIFE IS LIKE A BLOCK OF TOFU,
SCRAMBLE IT!”
Below you find the old about TofuParty, this is the new one:
Vegan cookbooks, vegetarian cookbooks. Collecting them already since more than twenty years.
Follower of a lot of vegan blogs. A nether ending source of inspiration. (But I almost never write comments on them, sorry for that).
Sometimes I make up my own recipe, but I dislike writing them down.
So expect to find pictures of vegan food instead of well written recipes. Actually don’t expect a lot of words here anyway.
What’s more to tell: I’m from Belgium. My family consists of a daughter (now 16, vegetarian) and a boyfriend (not vegetarian, but is a fan of my vegan cooking). For them I use a lot of faux products in my cooking.
And for me: am I a vegan or not? I would like to call myself so, but I don’t know if the vegan police would like it. I only prepare vegan food. At home I only eat vegan, I try as much as possible outside my home. I always take my own sandwiches to work for this reason. But for some social events I make an exception: I don’t want to be the poor vegan that’s going hungry because they don’t have any food for her. In al those years I learned people respect my vegan habits and will do more efforts next time when I tell them: it’s ok I will eat this as an exception but I prefere vegan food.
I don’t want to be my food a dogma. I think vegan food is the best diet choice you can make (for the animals, planet, health, …). We don’t need to eat any animal products. This blog is dedicated to this principle.
My vegan life is a commitment, I do not want it to be a law by which I feel guilty if I violate it.
Old version about TofuParty:
What kind of food does a Belgian, librarian, vegetarian (close to vegan) eat?
Tofu, tofu, tofu, and some more tofu!? Ok, but we do eat a lot of other things too. That’s what I’ll talking about. And about why, and how, and where, and with who, with what? And probably sometimes I’ll talk about other things too.
And what is teenage daughter thinking and feeling about being served vegan food? “Mum, it’s not because I gave you tofu-man as a christmas present, that you have to serve me tofu every single day.”
And yes, I’m a vegetarian, not a vegan. Still, I believe that a diet without any animal products is the only way of eating that’s the best for every living creature on this earth. For this I want to do my share in proving how delicious, creative and easy vegan cooking can be.
For all these reasons I will only show vegan food on this blog.
I’m not only interested in food, so often and a while you can expect other things too.

A lot of people think that Tofu is boring but it isn’t and I like your blog name!

Hey! Nice to see another vegan blogger in the Benelux!!! My vegan blog is kind of new and just starting, but I write elsewhere about other things that I am interested in.
Your food photos are making me hungry!!!
So good to find a vegan/vegetarian blog from Europe. I like reading al those american and english bloggers, but they are all using weird measure systems or products that are not so common here. I just bookmarked both of your blogs – i live in Holland for a couple of years now and dutch is not a big problem for me. Just keep writting, you have some readers that are waiting for another post.
